Interactive Cook School (exclusively for guests)
By prior arrangement, on a Saturday morning guests are taken to the local Matakana Markets to choose a selection of organic produce and to personally meet a number of our local suppliers.
Returning to Te Arai Lodge, guests will harvest supplementary organic produce from the lodge’s estate gardens and then work alongside the chef to prepare a selection of seasonal dishes tailored to guests’ wishes, picking up on useful tips and various cooking techniques along the way.
The day culminates in a long lunch enjoying the prepared fare served with local wines.

Cook School Demonstration (open to non guests)
Get a group of your friends together and book this special group cook school at Te Arai Lodge.
Starting at 9.30am with beverages and fresh baking, the day commences with a tour of the property and to collect fresh organic produce from the estate gardens.
The chef then prepares a range of dishes with interesting stories, tips and tastings along the way.
The demonstrations then conclude with a long lunch where everyone sits down to share in the culinary delights.
You then depart at 3.30pm with a small gift bag of local treats.
